I’m Vanessa, an Italo-Australian born and raised in the beautiful city of Perugia. My passion for wedding planning has been with me since I was young.
This enthusiasm for the world of events has driven me to build a career where creativity meets precision, making each wedding a unique and unforgettable event.
Thanks to my dual nationality, I am able to connect with international couples and understand their dreams and wishes. My academic background in languages and foreign cultures, combined with professional experience in Perugia and Bologna, has honed my expertise in destination weddings and high-end events. For me, every detail of a wedding should tell an authentic story – one rooted in the treasures and traditions of Umbria. I bring a global perspective, grounded in local culture, to offer couples a bespoke, truly authentic wedding experience.

I’m Matteo, a proud “Perugino”, born and raised in the rolling hills of Umbria. My roots run deep in this land, shaping my outlook on life and fueling my passion for its rich culture and traditions.
My family roots are deep in the heart of Umbria, and I have always been fascinated by its culture and tradition, which I want to bring to every wedding we organize.
With over 20 years experience in logistics and luxury event management, I’ve worked alongside some of the top wedding planners in central Italy. This journey has taught me how to deal with every eventuality, from supplier delays to last minute changes, ensuring that every detail is perfectly coordinated. My aim is to create a stress-free, perfectly orchestrated wedding, leaving room only for celebration and emotion.
How “Marry Me in Umbria” was born
We decided to create “Marry Me in Umbria” because we had seen too many weddings that offered ready-made packages, lacking authenticity and far removed from the true soul of Umbria. Too often newlyweds were offered a stereotypical image of Italy that did not represent the true essence of our land.
How often have we found ourselves in front of menus that ignore local specialities such as Torta al Testo or Sagrantino di Montefalco, proposing standardised dishes that do not reflect Umbrian traditions! This is why we decided to create an agency that offers authentic weddings, immersed in the deep roots of the territory.
